Coinbase’s CEO, Brian Armstrong, stirred excitement during the Q3 earnings call by listing several buzzwords related to cryptocurrency in the last moments of the conference, which surprisingly resolved open bets on prediction markets.

At the end of the call, Armstrong indicated, “I was a little distracted because I was tracking the predictions market about what Coinbase will say in their next earnings call, and I just want to add here, the words Bitcoin, Ethereum, blockchain, staking, and Web3, make sure we get those in before the end of the call.”

This spontaneous reminder pleased many punters who had placed bets on platforms such as Kalshi and Polymarket, resulting in their wagers being positively resolved in the closing seconds.

Despite this peculiar finish, Coinbase reported a robust Q3 performance, registering $432.6 million in net income, up by 55% from the previous year, with a notable increase in Bitcoin holdings, solidifying their place among the leading corporate Bitcoin holders.
